Description

Big Boy餐廳於1936年由Bob Wian在加州創辦，最初命名為Bob's Pantry。
這個連鎖店最著名的商標就是胖胖的男孩穿著紅色和白色方格工作服，拿著一個Big Boy雙層起司漢堡。
最早的雙層起司漢堡據說就是由Big boy餐廳發明的。
Big Boy的名字以及吉祥物的形象靈感來自加州的一名六歲男孩，當他走進Bob's Pantry時，Bob Wian正好在幫新漢堡取名。 
Wian對男孩說'' Hello,big boy！''於是名字就這樣定下了。
而後由動畫藝術家Ben Washam描繪了男孩的形象，從此成為餐廳商標。
1951年，Bob Wian的原始特許經營者Dave Frisch開發了一個略有不同的Big Boy。 
他身材苗條，戴著側帽 ， 穿著馬鞍鞋和條紋工作服，並且被描繪成一個跑步姿勢，有一頭紅色或金色的頭髮。被稱為“東海岸大男孩”，為Frisch's版權所有。
自1956年以來，Wian的“西海岸大男孩”設計被Frisch之外的所有特許經營商獨家使用。 
直到1960年代末，兩個角色被重新繪製，結合西岸的設計（上舉的手臂、格紋衣，蓬蓬頭和漢堡），以及東海岸設計（跑步姿勢和方向）成相似的樣子。 
到了1980年代，男孩手上的漢堡被移除，以方便不販售漢堡的日本大男孩餐廳使用商標。
此次從美國加州Big Boy餐廳帶回販售的擠壓零錢包圖案即是1988年的設計。
